Confined Space Safety Awareness

Course Overview
Confined Space Safety Awareness training is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the hazards associated with confined spaces and take appropriate measures to ensure safety when working in or around such spaces. Confined spaces are enclosed or partially enclosed areas with limited access and egress, making them potentially hazardous due to the presence of dangerous atmospheres, engulfment hazards, or the potential for entrapping individuals.

Course Prerequisite
  • There are no prerequisites for this qualification.
Course Assessment
  • Learners will be assessed by continuous on course monitoring by the tutor
  • A certificate shall be issued to the learners upon satisfactory completion of the course

  • Define confined space entry (CSE)
  • The confined space entry (CSE) permits and other related work permits
  • CSE roles and responsibilities
  • Specific controls – Atmosphere testing. Isolation (lockout/Tagout).
  • Emergency Preparedness and response within Confined Space.
  • Personal protective Equipment
